Useful reading to kick things off

For those with an extra few minutes, you may want to read the introduction to a recent anthology of contemporary writers’ work engaging what some call the “Second Gilded Age” that we’re living through.  I’ll make reference to it in class, but you’re not required to read it.

Also, I’ll cover this in class, but for our second session on Friday, we’ll meet in the Lab B  Room: 1001B North.  There, I’ll walk you through how to sign up for this blog as an “author,” access course readings in .pdf via Dropbox, etc. etc.

See you soon.
